Support Hicks
No keep reading. What I am going to say makes perfect sense and is in the best interests of Liverpool FC.
There has been a lot of talk on the forums, the podcasts and in the press that we should decry Hicks for how he has acted in recent months. I can show that we are being too hasty and we should show our support.
Here are the facts about his behaviour:
· Hanging around with people who will damage his reputation (Jurgen F***ing Kilnsmann)
· No longer has the cash to buy the things he needs (Mascherano)
· In jeapordy of losing his new house (the best looking stadium ever is now likely to be another Reebok-a-like at best)
· Pushing away those who can help him. (Rafa Benitez must have the least reason for motivation of all managers in the premier league)
These are all the tell tale signs of someone who ‘may’ be addicted to crack. We have all seen this sorry story before. If this turns out to be true we must support him. He needs treatment, preferably as far away from Merseyside as possible. May I suggest Antarctica?
In the mean time we should allow some clean living Arab types to come in and rehabilitate our club. We can help them in their dietary needs by eating all the pork pies and drinking all nearby alcohol so they don’t have to.
Hicks gets better.
Liverpool get some proper investment.
Lager and pies all round.
Think on. You know it makes sense.
next weeks spotlight should be on*(Pardon the spelling) super-croat-igor-biscan-used-to-be-atrocious!!!!! the lad is a legend how he ever even watched a champions league final never mind winning one is beyond me
I think this was one of the sanest discussions of the owners situation now.
I'm a lot closer in opinion to the orginal speaker. Those who say they can't win because they are American and because they are owners.
But at least you agree that there was no malice in the Stadium thing. But hell they've secured financing and interestingly Kop Holding's took on 60mill in existing Liverpool debt. So they actually took on some of Liverpool's debt.
But i wanted to say this is a more reasonable discussion then any iv'e heard on 606 or 5live etc.
One comment. in November Liverpool may not have lost yet but they weren't winning. And I love Babel but for all the rafa's great talk he's playing Kuyt and not Babel or Crouch. And they are lower in the table then they were last year (i think. don't hold me to that one) at this stage last season. So I think it is absolutely right to to question if Rafa is the right manager. Should we be drawing to Luton, or Derby, or Villa or even Portsmouth. Especially when i think we have a better team then last year. Thanks for reading. I'll be listening.

Thanks for the responses, lads...
JohnnyH - Never thought of that side of things... Maybe we need an intervention, huh? Right now, I'd happily oblige.
Derrick - What can I say..? With a name like that, you'd have to speak sense, my friend.
And Muppa, you're a bit of a gobsh!te, aren't you? What are you doing with your life? Get it together, son.
Bottom line is, we SHOULD be doing better than we are. We're ALWAYS fighting for 4th lately (it seems), and haven't truly challanged since before I emigrated over here... Now, if today's news steadies the ship somewhat (the financing, stadium and Momo/Mascher stuff), who knows where we COULD end up?
But right now that's a HUGE if, isn't it?
Walk on.
D.
